Cristiano Ronaldo & Nani Praise Portugal Boss Paulo Bento After Denmark Win

Portugal earned a vital 3-1 victory over Denmark in Porto on Friday evening, and Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani were both quick to point to the contribution of coach Paulo Bento for the victory.

Manchester United winger Nani struck twice in three minutes around the half hour mark, and though Ricardo Carvalho’s late own goal gave the Danes a sniff of a chance, Real Madrid club-mate Ronaldo secured the three points late on.

“I missed scoring,” ‘CR7’ said after the game, according to A Bola. “The team played well and deserved to win. We are all to be congratulated.

“Paulo Bento is the same coach with the same personality and character that I met at Sporting. Nothing has changed. The players are happy and it shows on the field.”

Nani echoed such comments, stating: “He strongly encouraged the players. I think this is a strong point of him. Paulo Bento has something for everyone.”

Portugal are suddenly second in Group H, though they train Norway by five points after just three games.
