Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo Is A Great Joy In Scoring Winning Goal In The Final Game Of The Copa Del Rey Defeat To Barcelona

Real Madrid forward Ronaldo is happy with his game-winner against FC Barcelona in the final of the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night.

The Portugal international headed home a cross from Angel Di Maria left in extra time to win the match 1-0 at the Mestalla.

It was the first Spanish victory in Madrid Cup since 1993 and the first piece of silverware the club since 2008, and Ronaldo is pleased to have helped the cause.

"It 's a great pleasure to have won more, so I made a goal to win the Copa [del Rey]," enthused reporter Ronaldo after the match. "We have gone many years without winning a cup and we are very satisfied.

"It's a major trophy and we are enjoying it."

Ronaldo still praised his compatriot Jose Mourinho, who won his first race of the season as coach of the inaugural Madrid, Spain.

"Mourinho has been a very positive impact," said 26 year old. "He helped us and put us in a lot of positive energy, which shows [the field].

"Barcelona was a very good game, but this is how it goes. All the results, will win."

Ronaldo is a second chance to put one on top of Barcelona's nine-time European champions to take him to rivals for a place in the Champions League final. The semi-final first leg tie next week is the Bernabeu.
